I’m a Portland, OR native and I’ve been involved in the arts my whole life. After a 30 year singing career, I’ve turned my focus to the visual arts, specifically, up cycling lamps. About four years ago, Dashing Lamps was born!
I add fabric and handmade paper to lampshades, and apply plaster and paint to the base. Each lamp is a completely unique creation and provides light, color, and whimsy to homes and businesses. There are lamps with themes (birds, for example) and lamps for children, as well as batik and other designs.
I regularly participate in local makers markets and art fairs, and collaborate with local stores. I’m active in my neighborhood as a proud member of both the Multnomah Village Business Association and the Hillsdale Business and Professional Association.
